GALATINA WALKING TOUR
Galatina is a hidden gem in the south of Salento, only 30 km south Lecce ,its “baroque cousin”. Galatina is famous for its wonderful Basilica church “Saint Catherine of Alexandria”, renowned for the beauty of its frescos.
After visiting the church and having a stroll through the charming narrow streets of the city centre, we will learn more about a mysterious folk dance that was born in Galatina and has been around for centuries!
On our way back, we will stop at an old “salumeria”, typical grocery shop , where you can discover some typical cheese, delicatessen and best quality local pasta.
